Seb Edwards got an early introduction into the world of cinema at the age of eight, starring in John Boorman's Hope & Glory.

Since then the British director has moved behind the camera making adverts for brands including Nike, adidas and the Red Cross. Now Edwards is preparing to direct his first feature film, Sand Castle, which sees Nicholas Hoult playing the lead role in the war drama based on the real life experiences of a soldier who was deployed on 200 missions as a machine gunner in Iraq's Sunni Triangle.
